These cards were created for a baby's construction-themed birthday party. The design theme was construction-based, but the design needed to be modern, simplistic, colourful, and attractive to children.

The design uses a clean white background as a modern approach to allow the fun fonts and colours to stand out. Custom graphics were made to add an element that makes the construction theme obvious.  The graphics were repeated on the back of the cards to a create fun and exciting pattern.

 

The fonts chosen were meant to appear gritty, and hint at common signs seen on construction sites. The colour yellow was used to invoke common emotions like cheer and happiness.
